Bob Bradley

I am a lifelong resident of Beacon Falls. As a boy, I attended Laurel Ledge Grammar School, and went on to graduate from Holy Cross High School of Waterbury. In 1978, I graduated from Fairfield University with a Bachelors degree in Marketing.

Before fulfilling a lifelong dream of owning my own business, I spent most of my career in the Information Technology field, working my way from computer programmer to management positions in companies including Travelers Insurance, IBM, GE, and Hubbell.

My wife, Marion and I have been blessed with two wonderful kids, Katie and Patrick, both presently college students. When not working, I am an active outdoorsman, and have a strong love for fishing the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean for big game species including tuna and shark. As an avid boater, I hold a 50 Ton Masters Captains license issued by the US Coast Guard. I also fly fish for trout and salmon on the streams of New England.

I grew up in upstate New York and graduated from Albany College of Pharmacy in 1984. As a student I worked for 4½ years at Kessler's Pharmacy in Albany, NY. At the time, this was the largest family owned independent pharmacy in the area. During my 5th year of pharmacy school I did my clinical rotations at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY and Kinney Drugs in the northern part of the state.

Post graduation I was hired by CVS and moved to Westchester County, NY. I opened several new stores for the company in Westchester and Long Island. In 1988, I moved to Connecticut. and worked in various locations with the last 15 years being in Southbury, CT. I left the "chain" world in October 2005 to go back to my original family-owned independent pharmacy roots. Bob and I are very happy and proud to have built a business that provides a much needed service to the community.

My professional life aside, I couldn't be prouder of our two kids, Katie and Patrick. They are both grown and in college now, but when they were younger, I loved being involved with their school activities and spent many years volunteering at Laurel Ledge School. I was an active member of the PTO and co-chaired the yearly Science Fair for seven years. Once they attended Woodland Regional High School, I was Vice President of the Dive-In Girls Swimming and Diving Booster Club and Co-President of the Fine Arts Booster Club. I love going to Broadway shows, the movies, reading a good book, and getting in a three mile walk in whenever I can!

I was born and raised in Waterbury, CT. After graduating from Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury in 2008 I went on to Southern Connecticut State University where I received a BS degree in biology with a minor in chemistry in the fall of 2012. Following graduation, I completed a phlebotomy course with the National Phlebotomy Association and became a certified phlebotomist in June of 2013.

My experience as a pharmacy technician began in 2010 working part time for Rite Aid in Waterbury. I found that I had really enjoyed the position. Working with Bob, Marion, and Linda at Beacon Falls Pharmacy has given me the opportunity to do the job I enjoy in a friendly community.

Hobbies of mine include reading, cooking, scrapbooking, hiking, and I love to learn. I am interested in anything science related whether it be nature, animals, or medicine!

I was born the day FDR died, ending his tenure as President of the United States and beginning mine as the follower of the "road less taken." And, to continue quoting Frost, "that has made all the difference." My father was a lieutenant in the United States Army Air Corp stationed in Orlando, Florida at that time, so I was born on the Army base. After Pop was mustered out, we moved to the Bronx in New York where I attended St Margaret's grammar school and the Academy of Mt St Ursula High School. I spent two years at the College of Mt St Vincent before the family relocated to Greenwich, CT. While living there, I attended the United Hospital School of Nursing in Port Chester, NY.

I spent the next 10 years working for Ma Bell as a service representative. Since I was never comfortable flying a desk, and since I've always been good with my hands, I became a Union Carpenter. Thirty years later, I, again, moved on.

Over the years, I have been on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Fairfield County where I raised $33,000 chairing the Ivan Lendl Tennis Tournament. I served as Secretary for seven years on the Board of Directors of the New Haven Gay and Lesbian Community Center where I transformed a room into a library, among other donations of my carpentry skills. Into my second three-year term as President of my condo association, I stepped down to make way for some new volunteers To date, my contribution to the Red Cross Blood Program stands at twenty gallons... and I'm going for a lifetime goal of twenty-five gallons.

After retiring from the Carpenters Union, I took a course to become a Pharmacy Tech and, to my delight, began working for Marion and Bob Bradley. When I'm not at the Pharmacy, I work as a nanny to infants and toddlers. (There is a piece of haiku which reads, "The childless woman, how fondly she handles the dolls in the marketplace.) C'est moi. Perhaps, some day, I'll actually slow down.

I was born and raised in Derby, CT. After graduating from Derby High School I attended the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston where I received a BS degree in pharmacy in 1984. After graduation, I worked at two major chain drug stores until the year 2000 when I took a position at Southford Falls Pharmacy in Southbury, CT. Upon the closure of that store, I was pleased to join Marion and Bob Bradley as a staff pharmacist at the grand opening of the Beacon Falls Pharmacy in 2005.

I currently reside in Oxford, CT with my husband ,Mark, my two daughters, Rachel and Meredith, and our menagerie of animals-Chase the quarterhorse, Mac and Piper the Great Pyrenees dogs, Nemo, Coco, and Bo the felines, Ruby the fish, and numerous chickens.

In my spare time, I like to read, do crafting, surf the Internet, and socialize with my friends.
